Two Sizes by Weight, Not Age
The 0 to 2 month size measures 25.6 x 20.1 inches and suits 6.6 to 11 lbs, and the 3 to 4 month size measures 27.6 x 22.8 inches for 11 to 22 lbs. Weight is the better guide, since babies fill these out at different rates.
Wrapped in the Dark, One-Handed
The inner panel is oversized and the closure is a soft hook-and-loop strip, so the wrap can be adjusted and refastened without hunting for a zip or lining up press studs during a night feed.
Which size do I need?
Go by weight. The smaller sack fits 6.6 to 11 lbs (3 to 5 kg) and the larger fits 11 to 22 lbs (5 to 10 kg), which covers roughly the first two months and then months three and four.
When should we stop swaddling?
Common guidance is to stop wrapping the arms once a baby shows signs of rolling over. From that point many parents move on to a sleeveless sleep bag instead.
Is it too warm for summer?
The fabric is a breathable cotton, so it is used across the year with the layer underneath adjusted to the room: a short-sleeved bodysuit in warm weather, a long-sleeved one when it is cool.
