How big is the blanket?
It measures 39.4 x 29.5 inches, which suits a pram, a car seat, or a top layer over a cot, and folds small enough to keep in the basket underneath.
Which side goes against the baby?
Either one. Both faces are finished for skin contact, so use the flannel when you want something lighter and turn the sherpa in when it is properly cold.
Will the sherpa go flat in the wash?
Wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, then tumble low or line dry. Fabric softener and bleach are what flatten sherpa pile, so leave both out.
Can it be used as a swaddle?
Parents do use it as a loose wrap or a nursing cover at this size, but for sleep a baby should be on a firm flat surface with nothing loose in the cot.
