Description
A cushioned lounger pillow with sides that rise around a newborn, giving them edges to settle against during supervised rest and feeds. Small babies settle better in a defined space than on an open surface, and that is the whole job of the raised border.
Double gauze muslin is used because of how it is woven: two fine layers held apart, so air passes through the cover rather than sitting between the baby and the padding. The cover lifts off and washes.

Care instructions
It travels vacuum packed, which is why it looks thinner out of the box than it does in the photos. Cut the wrapping well away from the fabric, then leave it 5 to 10 minutes to open out to full size.
Give it a wash before you use it the first time. Being packed tight leaves creases, and one wash lifts the pile back up.
The cover is removable, machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry on low heat or air dry.
Do not use bleach or iron it.

Raised Sides All the Way Round
The edge is padded and lifted rather than flat, which gives a newborn something to rest against on every side. Inside, the base is cushioned across the full 29.5 by 17.7 inch footprint.

What is the height of the sides?
The lounger stands 4.7 inches (12 cm) tall overall, so the padded edge is low enough to lift a baby in and out easily while still defining the space.
Is it meant for sleeping?
No. It is for supervised rest with your baby in sight. For naps and overnight sleep a firm flat cot surface with nothing loose in it is the right place.
Will it arrive squashed?
It ships compressed to save space, so it looks flatter than the photos at first. Open the outer packaging carefully and give the filling time to expand.
How do I keep the cover clean?
Double gauze muslin washes gently and softens with use. Wash it cool with a mild detergent, air dry it, and let the padding dry all the way through before use.
